Pros

The ice-cream in the pantry

Cons

Exploitative work environment; poorly-defined, ever-increasing workload and pathetic wages coupled with non-existent employee welfare. Selfish, self-serving management who display a marked unwillingness to listen to feedback, are slow to adapt to changing realities and prefer to bury their collective heads in the sand, contributing to shrinking sales. The company does not believe in engaging in fair hiring practices; fraught with nepotism and backdoor entry hires. Despite a pool of qualified locals, management fills top positions with Caucasians, most who do not possess specialised skill sets. Management professes to ‘embrace diversity’ and be ‘respectful of different cultures’ but what transpired during my time with Rehau was a consistent, recurring pattern of racial discrimination and normalised xenophobia. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of working with foreign hires (of various ethnicities) who thought it acceptable to behave pompously and treat the locals with barely veiled contempt. I did not speak up then but I will speak out now because their behaviour was so odious it was beyond the pale. Rehau does not believe in fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities towards the local community.

Pros

All the overtime you want! Great benefits, as long has you never need to withdraw from your 401k, because that's impossible!!

Cons

Too much overtime. Poor management HR department doesn't do anything. They sit behind locked doors, and are completely useless, and incompetent. They try to force you to resign if you have any medical issues, or they try to make it so hard on you that you quit of your own freewill.

Pros

Good benefits and growth to learn on your own

Cons

Rehau in Leesburg, VA is the worst and terrible place to work. All the managers are mean, self centered, disrespectful and micro manage their employees. Give hard time, threaten and harass their hard working people and try to make hostile environment to make them leave. Hire their favorite buddies. Last but not the least religious and cultural discrimination.

REHAU Response

Thank you for recognizing some of the many benefits we offer at REHAU, though you indicate you did not enjoy your experience. The company does not condone any management practice that would create a hostile environment; further, discrimination and harassment under any circumstance is not tolerated. Any allegations are addressed immediately and result in an investigation. As a global company, we embrace diversity and respect different cultures. In fact, it is our diversity that makes us strong and gives our employees an environment in which to thrive.
