Hi there - A bit of an odd review although always grateful of good feedback :-) 5 stars is always good to see but it would be good to understand what it is you enjoy about working here? If you are anything like me I wonder if the reason you have posted this is because you are saddened to see some of the negative things people have been saying about the business. I get it. They sadden me too. But I think by monitoring and following up with the senior management responsible we can help to address the problem and drive up our scores in the process. I love working for this business and I know countless others that feel the same but this page is often where unhappy people go to voice their concerns. We need to take note of this and take action. Anyway, that sounded preachy...I didnt mean it to... I really am grateful for your review and hope you have 8 more happy years working here :-)

Pros

Made some great friends here, some employees are great at what they do. Pretty good comms structure. Training for sales people was good when I started a few years ago, I cant comment on it now as they have changed the structure.

Cons

One of my managers was sacked and the others were extremely incompetent. After I left, many other members of the teams left.

Hi there. It is fair to say that we have had some management challenges in the sales team in London within one of our divisional sales teams. It is something that has been of real concern to QA leadership and we have been working hard to recruit the right person in to lead the team going forward. If you are referring to the sales team I am thinking of then I am pleased to be able to say that we have recently moved an exiting manager over from one of the other teams to lead this London sales force. It is early days but he is settling in well and team morale looks to be improving. It is disappointing that you had to experience things when they weren't going so well. It was always something that management took extremely seriously and we wanted to make sure the new person we bought into the team would be a great fit and work hard to address the morale issues. Thanks for taking the time to write your review.

Pros

Something that stands out above the rest is the friendliness of the company. As someone who is just starting work life, it can seem daunting. But from every level of the business, everyone has been welcoming and actually seem to enjoy the work they do. This makes working life more enjoyable and has its social benefits. For the job, in communications, you have access to the adobe creative suite, laptop and a very knowledgably IT team. My role so far has been very varied with my tasks evolving on a weekly basis so it is hard work, but rewarding – especially seeing the goal in the end is to promote education. Only being close to 2 months in, it is a great place for a graduate to learn from very experienced professionals and with a lot of variety in my role of marketing, I’m learning a lot and quickly. I am even getting actual responsibility as a new starter which is always greatly appreciated.

Cons

The different divisions of the company is confusing at the start with four different ones. Once you put faces to names it becomes clearer, but definitely a challenge at first. There is also a bit of a lack of communication between the various divisions, with it feeling like at times, four separate businesses. I know this is an ongoing improvement but was noticeable at the start. As well, the lunch space is very small meaning more people eat lunch at their desks or out, making it a bit expensive for London.
