Pros

- Amazing Team: smart, diverse, no-ego, hard-working, super fun individuals, eager to learn and make the world a better place. - Empowering Mission: there are so many businesses out there solving fake problems you sometimes forget the world has tons of real ones still unsolved such as “how are we gonna feed the planet by 2050?”. Making growers more successful definitely moves the needle. - Strong Vision: Sometimes you know where you’d like to go but you’re not too sure how to get there. That’s not a problem we have at ProducePay. The path to success is clear and we are hitting each milestone one after the other. - Always Delivering: The company has been growing tremendously for the past 5 years I have been there. I started before our Seed Funding and we just closed our Series C. No matter the problems that got in our way we found ways to fix things, learned from our mistakes and moved forward. - Result Driven and Solution Oriented: At ProducePay we have clear team OKRs and KPIs set based on the company’s vision for the year. You’ll be judged by your results and not just given to-do’s. We decide which problems are the most important and how to solve them and reach our goals as a team. We experiment, collaborate, track results and in the end, make it happen together.

Cons

- Organizational Struggle: As a startup growing really quick we went through lack of structure and processes and it took us time to figure out how to organize certain departments. I’ve seen tremendous progress in that area over the past year though. I think we are finally ready for hyper growth. - Rough Patches: Over the years we had to go through unexpected turns of events: major defaults, investor plays, more recently the pandemic and it led to drastic moves. Looking back I think we could have handled some matters differently but that’s easier said than done in the middle of the fire. - Lots of work: While the work/life balance is decent, there is an infinite amount of work and problems to be solved. It can get overwhelming and stressful as everyone is always busy. That’s not for everyone.

Pros

ProducePay is a great place to work if you're outcome-oriented and enjoy the ability to take ownership of projects. Teams have clear goals and you don't have to deal with any micro-management. On top of that, the company has a great mission, and every day you can see how our products and technologies are improving farmers' lives.

Cons

ProducePay went through some growing pains a few years back but came out of those times a stronger company, that is even more resilient than before. However we are still a startup, and you can expect there to be a lot of changes in team structure and process as we grow.

Pros

An interesting startup focuses in the agriculture industry, mixing with finance and technology to support the business. Founders work hard to disrupt and bring something new to this age-old industry. Employee benefits and perks are good overall. Free snacks, Friday lunch, and annual company trip. Decent health coverage and PTO. If you're a new grad or intern, this is a good job to gain experience, especially for the finance division.

Cons

Very high turnover rates with either layoffs, or people quitting, especially in the sales division. Some people in the management level have questionable skills and experience. Company is positioned itself in a very high risk, financial business. Not to mention that the agriculture industry is conservative. Definitely not easy to adopt new business ideas, and technology.
