Pros

For the most part co-workers are ballers. For the most part awesome customers. It's decent pay plus hella tips. Get delicious coffee and tea for free all day long. If you buy into it, you get to really provide an awesome service doing something as simple as making someone a cup of coffee. You get to form great relationships and do something both intense and fun.

Cons

Weekends are insane. Can be fun but also really grueling and exhausting. Opening shifts/closing shifts.- and hard to avoid either.

Pros

Philz mission is to better people's days, and this is embodied on a daily basis by the incredible people in their stores, home office, and coffee & distribution teams. Every person you talk to here has a heart to serve, which permeates throughout the culture. Philz is a place where you are empowered to be the best version of yourself, while recognizing your opportunities and working alongside a strong community that helps you grow. It is a crucial time in the growth of the company, and every person plays a key role in helping build something great.

Cons

Naturally, being a young, expanding company means there are growing pains. Communications do not always make it to the target audience, creating an occasional disconnect between stores and leadership. The path for growth may not always be laid out in the way some might expect, but you can forge your path here with a strong drive, voice, belief in the mission, and results! As others have mentioned, total comp & benefits package is not robust, though you would be hard-pressed to find someone coming to Philz because of the benefits package. I would anticipate that this would improve as we grow.

Pros

A wonderful company, with amazing people and incredible culture that fills you with excitement. Everyone at the Home Office is passionate and motivated; it’s contagious! The company is growing a lot right now and it’s an exciting time to be apart of it. Every store as an amazing team and delivers a great product. Stores offer flexible hours and full and part time positions. Great for students. Every barista is fun/interesting and enjoys delivering an experience for the customers. Free coffee and discounts for family/friends. There truly is a cult like following with Philz and you can see it on their social media. Lots of opportunities to grow within the Pham at the retail level and/or Home Office & Warehouse.

Cons

Benefit package isn’t the best (for the moment). If you want a company that is black and white and sticks to it’s guns, this isn’t the place. Philz is still growing and finding it’s groove, but you get to help define the future of the company.
