Pros

Fast pace, always doing something. Awesome working culture Meeting new people that come into the shop Free coffee and tea - WOOOOOO!! Working with amazing people You never left work feeling bad; you were always satisfied that you made someone's day better.

Cons

If you're not a morning person, opening the shop at 5 AM can be tough. The lack of connection with some guests (this is a give-in working at a cafe though, some people just want their coffee and get on with their day) Be prepared for your entire body to smell like coffee. Clothes and all. Can be overwhelming when the shop is slammed, but you just have to take the job one cup at a time :)

Pros

They hire based on personality so the best thing about working at Philz is the team you work with every day. - Teammates - Competitive Pay - Paid Vacation - Healthcare

Cons

As it grows, Philz is becoming more corporate. While I've always loved Philz because of it's family-nature, some of this is beginning to get lost.

Pros

The best part of any job is being able to call your co-workers PHAMILY. Be able to work at multiple locations and events. Being able to receive coverage from people from other stores. Free coffee & tea on the job. Met a lot amazing people: people in the company as well as locals in the area. Training system -not perfect- but definitely spoiled when compared to other shops. As a student, scheduling was pretty flexible.

Cons

There are times when morale is low. Ordering system definitely needs to be streamlined. Leaves baristas vulnerable to awkward situations with customers. Lack of perks.
