Pros

The pay and the other benefits that Philz provides is something that I value. Other than the pay, working with a diverse group of people in a collaborative setting is good.

Cons

Philz could do a better job with their hours and how that relates to the hours that employees work as well. The hours can be bad at times if there is short staffing which is common.

Pros

Excellent environment, good people, an interesting culture, and an aggressive position on the market. I'm sure it is an awesome experience.

Cons

Even though there are lots of pros, there is no structured career plan. If there was, it would be perfect. I think they are structuring a program to solve that problem.

Pros

Very cool customers (the mission store), for food service its not too bad. Overall pretty good job and I had a good working relationship with my colleague.

Cons

You don't actually learn to make espresso drinks so the skills are not very transferrable if you go to another cafe.
