After my store reported sexual harassment from a higher up, we’ve experienced nothing but retaliation and bullying over the last two years. Our hours are cut, write ups for half the team, and we’ve been labeled as a “problem store” when we have a great inviting energy and great customer reviews. The area lead is known for blowing up on people and physically harming others on the line. And if you complain or associate yourself with someone who complains, you can kiss any promotion or raise goodbye. A store lead even said that they chose a male shift lead outside hire over a barista with years of experience because he “has a child and that made him more responsible”. Isn’t that some kind of discrimination? If you’re not apart of their cult like following and you don’t kiss up to the area leads or store leads, you’re treated like garbage.
