Philz is a great company if you want to feel supported all around. You have the freedom to come as you are and grow naturally into the Philz family, wherever that may take you. Flexible hours, understanding management, decent pay, and a great environment to learn pour over style coffee.

Cons

There is such a high volume of customers at times that the baristas will get overwhelmed because they cannot reasonably make drinks for all the customers within 5 or so minutes. The uncertainty of whether or not you will be supported on your shift by having “extra” people clocked on is a real concern. Additionally, because there are so few people sometimes, it feels unbelievably stressful to go in even for short shifts because you’ll know you’ll be working very hard.
