Pfizer does not hire new people, instead they contract out the work. I put in two and a half years as a contractor at $45,000 per year in a very specific dpeartment. They held out a carrot in that I would eventually earn a position. In the end, ten years out of college, I was replaced by a 24-year-old intern who had no experience in that department. That intern now makes at least $90,000 as a full employee.
