Great Job for Entry Into the Workforce

Pros

As any other part time job, the hours are flexible. Receive 20% off most merchandise and on your repair bill too. The work itself is easy. Answer phone calls, cash customers out, straighten shelves, mop and clean, put merchandise up, etc it's not difficult to accomplish these tasks. Company does take action against unruly managers.

Cons

As any other part time job, pay is low. On truck days, arrive at work at 7 am. to put up tires on shelves up to 20 ft. tall (some tires weigh around 70 lbs. each). Having said easy tasks, at times you can be overwhelmed with so many tasks. Benefits are non-existent for part timers. If working in service, it can be HELL on the service desk.

Pep boys is not a public company anymore

Cons

Everything from area managers and above. Our general manager had to resign because All they see and worried about are numbers. Before helping their management in the store levels they rather get rid of you. They do not care about their people.
