Pros

A lot of great people around on the lower totem poles

Cons

Very high school like environment with dinosaurs stuck in tar pits waiting to die off. its a my old crappy way or the highway with internal promotions for those smart dedicated people far and few between but the "clicky groups" get promotions quick with no understanding of the base of operations.

Pros

Interesting brands to work on like C|NET, CBS Sports, and Gamespot. Friendly environment with smart, motivated people. Good Work/Life balance

Cons

Revolving door of talent. Too much interference from CBS Corp. who has a very "classic" way of looking at things. Low salaries, though benefits are pretty good. There's always a bare minimum of resources to accomplish anything. There's too much focus on clicks and views and short attention span content with quality being a lower priority. Technology is outdated. The central technology solution is slow to adapt and vanilla. No strong central technology leadership. Disparate technology leadership that doesn't communicate and at times feuds with each other.

Pros

Flexible work hours Free coffee Great location My direct coworkers Senior sisig next block over Video games all around me

Cons

Low morale among my colleagues makes going to work difficult Team did not have any clear goals other than to "grow audience" - leading to dedicating my time helping to produce garbage click bait Anyone left seem as if they're looking for the first opportunity to leave Management quick to let great talent go and great talent do not want to stay. Leaving cbsi with a building full of C- players. Pay is laughable Management team in my business unit don't seem to like each other all that much I work as if management does not exist, since they are never here and when they are, not avail for those on the front lines.
