Pros

Perks! Your one stop shop when you spend most of your day on the lot, dry cleaning, fresh food, food trucks, movie screenings, etc.

Cons

Salary sucks for assistants expecially senior level executive assistants that have stellar experience. Assistants aren't traditional EA's in some departments I would say its a 20/80 split. Paid like an EA but doing Coordinator and Manager like functions.... (brand manager/coordinator) depending on department.

Pros

The Paramount lot is a beautiful, historic working lot in the middle of Hollywood. Driving through the gates every day is a great feeling. Prestige of having a major studio on your resume.

Cons

Frequent restructurings and layoffs have left employees overworked and departments understaffed. People are generally underpaid compared to other major studios. Depending on your department head, it can be very hard to get recognized for your work and promotions almost impossible. Some managers advocate for their people, but most are focused on managing up. People are just trying to keep their jobs and survive the next round of cuts.

Pros

Impressive on your resume, great people to work with. There is a lot of film history to take in when walking through the lot or working in the offices.

Cons

Has a very corporate feel. Hard to advance to creative positions if you don't start in creative. Hard to move up into other departments.
