The management team are so inept at Trading that you could tell them whatever you want and they'd believe you.

Cons

I think it was South Park that called someone a 'succubus' - a woman from hell sent to earth to suck the life out of you and spit you out. Something similar applies here to the Trading managers. Except you will get excreted on too. You will get run into the ground for little reward. If you show you are capable you are in trouble.

Interesting industry and good technology - some great people

Cons

Not recommended for project managers or programme managers. There is no PMO or central resource management - so you are at the mercy of the division you are hired within. Limited opportunity to move around and no clear career path or project management specific career development... fine if you are contracting however. New CEO is the Michael O'Leary of the gambling industry.... the cost cutting exercise is fairly ruthless. victims so far: Office Fruit All Staff Christmas Party Kids Christmas Party Free Racing Post Office plants!! Free hooded top for new starters passing their probation Staff joining anniversary lunches Online training portal Funding for clubs (running, cycling, wine clubs etc) Betfair used to be a really fun place to work - it was in the top ten places to work about 5/6 years ago (they tell you this when you apply to work there). It hasn't featured in the top 10 since, with good cause. The stock market float has changed the company dramatically.
