Pros

Decent salary! However in interview you are promised the sun, moon and stars! This does not happen!

Cons

They seem to just want to train monkeys to do jobs and once you want to have an input or try improve things, managers quickly clip your wings in fear of you being better than them! No room for progression! No ethics at all! I've never worked somewhere that has made me question something I love doing! My advice- get in and get it on your cv as agencies and recruiters seem to love pp, then get the hell out before you resent your job and yourself for putting up with it!

Pros

Alot of down time, but you must pretend to be busy

Cons

This is entirely in my own opinion and what i saw and heard and experience. Very uncomfortable working environment, The manager there does not know a thing about customer service, or can provide any assistance to anything regarding the office. He makes sexual advances , but mainly towards the men. Giving extended information or following up with customers regarding a issue, is entirely frown upon by the supervisor there. Your training is litterly sitting next to the supervisor while he tells you to take notes, and he will get on his cell phone, and engage in Facebook or pornography. Both acting manager and supervisor are incompetent. There is no direction, you can not provide any thoughts on how something can be improved or you will be a target. Customers are spoken about very poorly , and their losses and distraught that are bought on themselves or sometimes our own technical issues, are spoken of like entertainment and comedy , showing remorse or concern will be frown upon by supervisor and management . You have to constantly pretend to enjoy everything that goes on. There are a few other workers that are bothered but keeps quiet , to pay bills and you have some others that will micro manage and spy on you. There is no growth, no promotions, no awards of any sort , no leader ship. Supervisor constantly makes mistakes and then disown all liability, and ownership, and places it on others below . Their very disgusting coworkers , the 2 old women that works there , that screams at customers over the line and management totally ignores it, as well . There no protocols , you simply make them as you go, no script , so they figure they shouldn't even say good morning. Rules are constantly made up and destroyed , always a issue with your pay or time. Constantly spied on, supervisor makes you do his work, while he talks on the phone or sleeps, management has no clue what goes on in the office , always asking the payment team for advise. Or sits on the computer and watch YouTube videos. If there is news the CEO or someone up the ladder is going to come by, everyone is coach into being in their best behavior , and scatters to catch up, clean, and get work done.

Pros

It used to be the most exciting place i have ever worked at. Technical excellence, innovation, fun and respect for people were fundamental values

Cons

The merger with Betfair changed everything. Technology and process regressed by about 5 years. The new CEO is a bully that bangs his hands on the table, talks over other people, disrespects people's opinions and got rid of every Irish leader bar the yes men. I have been personally insulted by this man in more than one occasion because i dared disagree with a policy. My new boss talked to me for the first time after 2 months he was appointed. He lied to me blatantly on many occasions and is clearly incompetent. It pains my heart to see what was the pinnacle of technology innovation in Ireland transformed into an outsource factory of lowly paid order takers.
