Company is backsliding.

Pros

New mechanics start at 3 year pay rate. Lots of room for advancement due to so many people leaving.

Cons

Company is back sliding due to bad leadership. Have created a revolving door of mechanics that leave as soon as a better job presents itself. This has lead the company to have an extremely inexperienced and unmotivated maintenance department. This creates issues where the company will not stand up for its ill trained and inexperienced mechs and will completely throw them under the bus for the slightest infraction. This has created an extremely toxic and unsafe culture in the PSA mtx department. I don't think any of these issues are fixable in the short or medium term.

Pros

The pro are really the work schedule and the flight benefits. I enjoy most of the people that work with and work for minus the upper management that thinks we are not worth the pay.

Cons

Lowest payoff mechanics you can find. You should really try and pay your mechanic side of the house a bit more money. They fact that kin boast and brag about paying your pilots is really sad and the fact that you tell your mechanics that they are not worth a 10% raise is pretty sad. Also when you tell mechanics in CLT that their cost of housing is it included in your cost of living estimates is pretty sad too. How is your apartment or house cost not a cost of living expense? Where else we going to live in a camper at the hangar? Really sad about the money. Also the fact that mechanics have to be stuck at the same pay rate for three years is crazy!
