PDVSA is the main company Petroleos de Venezuela and the fifth best oil company in the world. PDVSA is the best choice of national employment in Venezuela.

Cons

Wages are not adjusted for national inflation since 2008. Strategy and media attacks to discredit from the national and international press.

PDVSA is a national oil company with huge reserves, and as such job stability is not a concerned. Inside Venezuela, is one of the company with best benefits and additional bonus/package: health insurance and house loan for example. There are a lot information about the reservoirs, and people is proactive with sharing culture

Cons

Inside the company, your political behavior is always evaluated, If it is not pro Chavez government you might be fired. There is no evaluation system and promotions are given always subjectively
