Pros

Desperate to keep people so you can probably gouge them for a raise.

Cons

Bad technology and old school thinking. Unethical, disloyal, and political - no future for those looking for career growth especially with french regional leadership. Despite acquisitions, revenue continues to slide and technology development is abysmal. Hydrogen announcements are mostly headline grabs for free government money, will not have an impact on revenue anytime soon. Everyone manages up and tries to hide. Terrible employees are kept because of who they know or connection to europe. Company doesn't know how to integrate new businesses. Most processes are superficial to make the team in France look good. Most employees are steady eddies, have golden handcuffs, so overall low talent quality across all departments.

Pros

Great 401k benefits and health benefits , decent pay and great office desks Global company.

Cons

Toxic culture of discrimination and harassment of employees in the engineering teams. If you're a female , and/or of color, I would recommend other companies that would treat you the way you deserve, The average age is too high for anything to be changed . No opportunities of evolution and career development and training to enhance skills and no flexibility in the processes. The only way to move up is to wait for someone to retire...

Pros

-Great healthcare and benefits. -Lots of opportunity for travel. -The fast pace and big budgets can be fun for a while.

Cons

- unrealistic project deadlines that promote working long hours - your bosses will make impossible promises to customers that you will be held accountable for - every decision has to be run through big bosses in France - no one below a Director level is bonus eligible - American Director level only say “yes” to the bosses in France, then everyone below the Directors are held responsible for failure. - the directors constantly bicker and blame each other to try and shift responsibility before saddling the failure to one of their underlings - Broken bidding system for new projects that only results in tighter deadlines, lower budgets, and angrier customers. - very few promotions available unless you have a European passport - Plastic Omnium tells a great story about this being a family company and asking people to perform and go over the top for the company. But they are ruthless to achieve a desired result to please the shareholders. In 2020, they cut salaries by 20% followed by layoffs in the US only. Not such a great family.
