You get 50% off cake, the managers are nice. The owner is awesome and very talented. You learn a lot of patience and hard work in the back of a bakery.

Cons

The position can be physically challenging. You are on your feet craning your head down while frosting for your whole shift. Sometimes coworkers are unpleasant.

The owner is rude and everyone must cater to her mood swings. Management does not tell you about new policies and such, but will reprimand you for not magically knowing. No flexible hours. employees are are very cliquey, gossipy, and rude. The tiniest mistakes and the owner will freak out either to your face or in a passive aggressive email to all employees. Management/Owner play favorites. Worth noting that you do not make commission or receive tips. May apply to some: unnatural looking hair color, tattoos or piercings are not even slightly allowed.
