Pros

Interesting challenges Lots of vacation time, personal days, and paid holidays Acceptable benefits Decent to good pay

Cons

Totally paralyzed support and delivery processes Poor/weak middle and line management makes rash decisions and does little to support their employees Product development focused on new shiny features -- rarely on resolving stability issues Expected to lie to customers to cover for lack of support from R&D when there are big issues Has lost focus on product and delivery quality Lots of layoffs, especially among technical roles Great time off package -- but you'll never get to use it and they won't cash it out even if you're forced to not the take it No culture of follow through

Pros

a) Great place to refine your sales chops b) Teaches you to do more with less c) Flat structure without much hierarchy d) Perceived as a premium brand

Cons

a) NICE has done a bunch of acquisitions and none of these new solutions work or integrate with each other. Almost all the customers are furious with project delays and buggy software. b) Few old timers wield tremendous power and treat their setup like fiefdom. New comers will not flourish here. Old timers will thrive. c) If you have an idea to operate differently...well good luck with that...100% top down approach. Top management in APAC is absolutely not open to new ideas or feedback d) Project, services and R&D teams are arrogant af and don't hesitate to lash at th customers if things escalate. e) At junior and mid-junior levels compensation is extremely mediocre. f) Invisible HR

Pros

NICE is a great company with some of the best people I ever worked with. They are smart, work to win and truly care about the survivability of the company. Many go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure this happens. Perhaps most importantly people are respectful and genuinely care about one another on a personal level. It is this level of commitment which has gotten the company to where it is today. Good products and solid market share.

Cons

NICE's success is also its downfall. Upper management is dysfunctional with some of the folks getting to positions which they should not be in, based on the success of the company. There is the "upper management" club which is downright rude and abusive to the aforementioned people who go above and beyond day after day. It is for this reason that there has been a large amount of turnover and there has been slippage strategically. It was very sad to watch good people go because of upper management. Equally sad was that the people who should be leaders have the worst behavior. Pay is relatively low, benefits are good. No work-life balance as management will call you routinely after hours or while you are on vacation with some fabricated fire drill.
