      Mismanaged and in danger

      Pros

      A well known and well-heeled firm that pays competitively when they are trying to recruit you and been on an M&A tear over the last 5 years.

      Cons

      New structure and management are driving the firm into the ground. Infighting and greed from the top down are resulting in a terrible environment lead by people more worried about quarterly guidance, stock price, and personal exit strategies than building a better brokerage.

      Pros

      Flexible schedule, laid back environment, casual dress code, leave work at the office, friendly coworkers.

      Cons

      No structure, takes advantage of it's employees by constantly adding new tasks and workload without compensation, not competitive pay, poor management, not a challenge, no career advancement, no training, and company does not want to spend money on much needed employees (no receptionist, office services, IT).

      It has potential to be a strong company. Lots of work. Strong desire to become the best in their field.

      Cons

      Hostile work environment. Unprofessional demeanor from management (poor treatment, braggadocios about how much money they make); low competitive pay.
