Pros

We develop and grow our staff. We are one of the only recruitment companies in the region that hires people new to recruitment and fully trains them to be highly technical experts in either rail, civils, power or construction sectors. We have grown year on year which for any company is a fantastic achievement. You really feel that what you do matters and contributes to the success of the business.

Cons

No real cons to working here and we are constantly looking to review and improve everything that we do.

Pros

Navartis provide employees with ongoing coaching and training to support with personal development and individual career goals. They offer a thorough induction and training plan for new starters to get them on the right path from the beginning. You are encouraged to be open and honest no matter what level you are and the managers work with you to help you identify which career path your looking to take, helping to get a plan in place and a focus on how to get you there. Navartis give you all the tools required to succeed, including investing in latest technologies, training and new marketing initiatives all designed to support you on your journey. This is all bolstered by the high quality of company perks and rewards available. The end of quarter celebrations also make life at Navartis worthwhile, the company dedicate an afternoon each quarter to recognise hard work and top performance, update you on the business and the direction its heading in and then take you out to celebrate true Navartis style, we've had nights at the casino, VIP areas booked out in well-established bars and summer BBQs with the whole family. Not to mention the prizes you can bag - super car race days, cocktail masterclasses, spa days, afternoon tea, the list goes on!! Lastly, the company also gets involved in various fundraising activities for great causes, most recent events have included charity days for MIND and Breast Cancer Awareness.

Cons

There is a certain amount of time you need to be willing to put in to become successful, this may mean taking calls outside of core hours, working through lunches and travel to remote locations, the industry we work in often has sites that operate 24/7 and if there is an urgent requirement or concern you may need to be prepared to answer your clients/candidates away from the office. The job can really test resilience, you face challenges along the way, like most target-driven sales jobs. This can sometimes make you leave for the day feeling a little deflated, however it can also be very rewarding if you persevere and don't let the negatives take over your focus. One call can turn your day in a completely different direction.

Pros

Upon receiving another promotion, having been with the company for just over a year, I feel it necessary to share my feelings on the reality of life at Navartis. Navartis is a company where you can build a career. A primarily telephone based role where you become involved in some of the most interesting and critical infrastructure projects across Europe. The learning curve is perceived to be steep but there is an amazing Learning and Development team who support you at every stage. You will be encouraged to forge your own paths of success, to express your own character and personality in the way that best helps you succeed, all of which being bolstered by many years worth of industry knowledge which is laid at your disposal. The bonus scheme is designed to boost everyone's earning potential with an uncapped ceiling. Promotion's are gained by Performance and Behaviour with pay rises available every 3 months. A company car is very achievable within year 2 and, as with the bonus, the earning potential climbs ever higher when targets are achieved. There is a laid out promotion plan leading all the way to Business Manager which is open to and achievable by all. The final winner for me when working here is the transparency within the business. The director's and managers are sat beside us every day, sharing news and aspirations around Navartis. They have all worked their way through the ranks and have an in-depth understanding of the challenges, difficulties and hardships of this job. They are ever approachable, always willing to share advice and keen to know you as a person, not just as an employee.

Cons

Being a Recruitment Consultant here will always be a challenge, even for those at the lofty heights of Principal Consultant. Success is not something achieved by luck, nor is it gifted. This is a job that demands effort, dedication and a willingness to learn. Our successes are celebrated but they are short lived as the job dictates that we move on. Time demands. This is not a job for 'Clock Watchers', you have to be aware that the demands of the job may call for you staying that little bit later, missing a dinner break or having to visit a client out of working hours. It is not a 'Con' as such but be aware that this is crucial factor of working here.
