Bureaucratic organisation not ideal for people who want to get things done
Pros
Flexible work from home arrangement however that is going away soon to become a 4 day work from office week. CEO says this is for better collaboration however it's more of cover to make people leave so that he can cut cost.
Cons
Highly political environment where promotion is not based on capabilities but rather how well connected you are to management. The management team is also indecisive and tend to prefer making decision by committee so that if anything goes wrong nobody has to shoulder the responsibility, resulting in it being extremely slow and hard to get things done here. Because it is hard to fire people here, there is a build up of C & D players who stay here for decades to eventually reach senior position while the better performers all leave due to frustration of being led by leads who are of lesser capabilities. There are too many layers of middle management of who add no value other than being another level of approval to getting things done. The organisation also lacks focus and clarity on its mission and tends to do many things that have no meaningful impact.
