Pros

Work colleagues are fine. Friendly people interview you

Cons

Management seam to be unfriendly but that's due to the workload they take on. No help if you have a disability, you just have to keep up with the rest of the workers. You have to do flex up. You have to work Christmas and New year and get the same money as any other day. You are monitored all the time so you can't be lax. Unrealistic targets, you hit it sometimes but the chances of reaching it all the time is imposable.

Pros

Good starting wage, mix of experience and new talent, big company, likely to get a bonus

Cons

Wages don’t increase, some old talent is stale and staying there from ease for them rather than skill, bonus doesn’t always happen due to sales decrease, no chance to progress in my area as my manager kept stopping me get an interview as didn’t want to lose me from her team

Pros

Good staff discount, online portal for rotas allows you to offer up shifts you don’t want, accept shifts from others and pick up additional hours. You can also take time off via the portal by starting later or finishing earlier when it recognises there is enough staff for you to do so.

Cons

Minimum wage for sales assistants and poor wages for management. Compulsory to work Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. Quick to be told off when you’ve done something minor. Not appreciated when you’ve done a good job. New bonus scheme via surveys which we have to push. 4 times a year, we annoyingly have to ask EVERY customer if they shop online so next can obtain more online customers. Under appreciated. Favouritism amongst management. No chance of progression unless you’re friends with the managers. Rude area managers who look down at you like you’re their cheap minion.
