Pros

-Holiday cubicle/team competitions -causal environment, too casual - yes answering phones, but people literally came in with stuff I wouldnt even wear to bed. -good benefits

Cons

-high turnover, its all about calls calls calls -stuck in cubicle for 8 hours a day, your timed when you go to the bathroom or if you get up to do something since you have to log out of the system -better learn to type fast and in MET code. -every call is recorded and can be pulled and you get graded on 5 calls and then they review with you, I actually got a review saying that I was too nice in a call? that was a first...

Pros

The company is one of few in the financial or insurance industry that is still in business. I still have a job in this tough economy. The benefits are comparable to others in the industry. It is comfortable to work there if you work with the right mix of people. Change is happening and the evolution of people working at MetLife may be a step in the right direction, however the timing of its Operation Excellence can be detrimental to some in this job market.

Cons

Career growth is very limited if you are not a male or caucasian. There is a lot of "social promotion" that happens based on who you know and not happens as a result of reward or deserving accomplishments.
