I had some good colleagues - without them I would have no idea how to do my job as the LMS training system is completely inadequate.

Cons

Bullying is rampant at all levels, and nothing is done about it as the managers are bullies themselves. I've had verbal abuse from colleagues and indifferent managers, and I've sometimes left work in tears. Working overtime is more common than working normal hours. There is zero effort made to alleviate workload. Training is non-existent and you either depend on asking experienced peers on how to do things, or you have to work everything out for yourself. Join BioReliance in Glasgow if you want your mental health to deteriorate.

Pros

Culture onsite between staff and lower echelons of management was very friendly and welcoming.

Cons

Very poor wage for qualified personnel, senior management severely out of touch with all those below them, no incentives/bonuses as was received by employees of other companies during pandemic, despite weekly updates about how good the company is doing. Plays off that it's not pharma and cannot afford same incentives, yet apparently business is booming, so no shortage of revenue. Main company senior management very tight fisted.

Good benefits package, good facilities (although cramped), flexible working hours

Cons

Poor salary, cliquey, snitch culture encouraged, always understaffed, disorganised, lots of people stressed and angry, very corporate, lots of vindictive people. Discrepancy in pay of equal staff between teams. Not enough space for staff/instrumentation. Work was very dry/uninteresting. Always felt undervalued and unappreciated, and that there wasn't anyone I could go to for help.
