Pros

PTO, and barely that because the days you need are blocked.

Cons

Management/TL doesnt value employees especially those of color. My OT hours were put in AFTER i realized it wasnt on my paycheck and contacted HR. Also, numbers are more important than anything. If your stats arent up to par, you get treated like crap. After being told i wouldnt get a raise, they had the nerve to add more tasks on to my work load. The cost of living is going up yet they dont give raises. On top of many other things i have to deal with rude and disrespectful callers on a daily basis. There are no opportunities to move up. I have been more stressed and angry since I've started here and i cannot wait until i get hired somewhere I'm appreciated. Oh and what type of company makes their employees work on Friday July 5th when we have weekends off??? Make it make sense!!

Mercer colleague, Thank you for the feedback you have provided. We take a great deal of pride that our company’s greatest value comes from the collective talent and diverse experiences of our colleagues. Our diverse and inclusive culture is very important to all of our colleagues – so while we are disappointed to hear your experience, we appreciate your candid feedback. We make every attempt to be transparent with colleagues who work in our customer experience centers that the job is quite complex in terms of solving problems with people who are anxious about their family’s health. Your role requires a great deal of urgency and working hours which sometimes include when most people have a holiday. It’s a tough job and we know it. We encourage you to connect with your direct manager to discuss your goals and the opportunities that are available to you to progress and grow your career. Good opportunities to advance

Pros

Opportunities to advance if you look for them

Cons

Sometimes good people can get overlooked or the pace at which advancements are possible can be too slow - as a result good people may go. Senior people are often approached by non-competitors for fantastic positions... which isn't a con per se it just results in some brain-drain.

Look somewhere Else

Pros

You get to work at home

Cons

People who get promoted it is all who you are friends with. I have seen people get promoted because they were friends with someone hire up and then fired because they couldn't do the job. They decided ahead of time who they want to promote and then waste your time with interviews. They make up lies as to why you didn't get the job and then they forget what they said and its almost comical. Some people are answering twice as many calls as other representatives. The calls are not disperse evenly. I have had 6 managers in less than four years. Turn over is the worst I have ever seen.
