Pros
Great clients, some wonderful colleagues, interesting assignments if working on the "right" teams under the "right" leadership.
Cons
In recent years, the focus has changed from producing high quality information, to a focus on procedures that add time to the process and reduce quality. Slogans are posted on desks that say: "Don't let perfection get in the way of good enough." E&O issues are pushed under the rug. Clients will eventually catch on and Mercer's reputation will suffer. Those that care are worked to death while those that are just mediocre are somehow promoted. Leadership does anything but. It's a frustrating environment that is more like a sweatshop than a professional services firm.
