      Pros

      Mercer offers a competitive salary and bonus opportunity, and the benefits available to employees are fair. Paid time off is a function of service OR job level which is nice.

      Cons

      Individuals in management roles are often not qualified to be people managers. The volume of services promised/sold to clients far exceeds the staffing capacity, resulting in long hours and weekend work on a consistent basis.

      Pros

      Excellent work life balance and flexibility, big company support and resources, good opportunities within the company for go-getters, collaborative environment, great subject matter expertise throughout the organization.

      Cons

      Management doesn't engage nor communicate often enough, loyal and long-term employees undervalued and under-paid, lots of dead weight with top performers covering the slack of under-performers. Mercer has become a place where mediocrity thrives. Critical thinking skills no longer seem to be a requirement for new hires. Too much focus on project management rather than analysis and problem solving.
