Rocketship/Unicorn metaphor aside, I'm a Passive.
Pros
- Young professionals get a ton of exposure to the technology and the business - Coworkers, particularly on the Solutions side, are some of the most intelligent, empathetic team players you can find - It's a growing industry you can dig into and learn about on day one
Cons
- Rocketship / unicorn metaphor that came out of the big evaluation and VC backing have become excuses for poor communication from the leadership team. The idea used to be that we tried something bold, nailed it, then scaled it out. It's now a cop out answer for mistakes we make repeatedly. - It's a proprietary software you can't necessarily transfer elsewhere - Managers can vary wildly--some have experience, some are stellar, some are ICs put in people management positions
