Pros
Catered food 2x a week, free snacks and drinks, happy hour Friday, handful of inspiring people to work with, nice location and building (but not for long due to communicated plans to re-locate), base compensation above average
Cons
Budget cuts, mind-numbing tedious work, high turnover, constant hierarchy re-org, juvenile atmosphere. First off let me say, I'm not certain where Medallia's reputation for the 'no jerk policy' fits in. It's very cliquish at this company and a lot of the people don't even acknowledge you or return your hello in the hallways. I can see how this company might be a great start fresh from undergrad at 22 or 23 but other than that, I've never been in such a controlled and stifling environment as this. It feels a little bit too plastic. Career advancement is not commonplace and accounts for a lot of the turnover. Recent budget cuts due to IPO preparations when the company is a few years from even going public (if not more). Private company attempting to mimick a public company too far in advance so loses a ton of "start-up appeal" to the newcomers or potential candidates. It can be stressful and consultants are the answer. Overall, the work and the people are not a huge drawing factor which doesn't create a whole lot of incentive to produce - or be a fraction interested in it.
