Terrible company with unethical leadership

Pros

-Work from Home -Unlimited PTO -Wellness Days -Good Benefits

Cons

Company micromanages with reports. Several employees have departed due to commissions not being paid. This company has gone from being amazing to terrible. Commission payments and quotas have become less lucrative as quotas increased and percentages paid out are lower. Company has a good Customer Experience solution but terrible or non existent Employee Experience company. Do not join the company unless you have no other options. Typical longevity has dropped from several years to less than 1 year. Company has laid off over 20% of employees and now trying to hire back for same roles at lower pay. The company is toxic and management does not know how to run business and has lost the Chief Technology Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Financial Officer, and Vice President of Marketing. Strongly recommend going to a company that cares for the employees and the new Chief People officer does not care about employees at all. Stay away as this will be a terrible career decision.

One of the worst companies I've ever worked at

Pros

-Company is likely going to be acquired, they got rid of their headquarters in San Mateo and are working in WeWorks. Definitely would be a great opportunity for the employees to join a larger organization. -Free lunch twice a week

Cons

-No training for digital -Difficult to establish relationships with co-workers since everyone works from home so often -Weirdest people I've ever worked with, they will only talk about work all day. They never veer into any other topics which make the day at most companies go faster. -No 401K match -Managers have zero experience in actual management, they've only been promoted because they've worked at the company for so long

Pros

People: Some of the people you work with are amazing and will help you grow professionally. Again, only some people. Opportunity: You will have opportunities to make a mark at Medallia. Some see inflection points as a time to leave; others choose to step up and capitalize the moment. The work is hard and thankless at times, but ultimately it's up to the individual to either make lemonade or go join other company. Value: The product really brings value to customers. I've had the privilege of working with clients who genuinely love the product and use it to make a positive impact on their customers.

Cons

People: Some of the people you work with have no idea what they're doing and can make your life absolutely miserable (intentionally or unintentionally). Learn to manage up if you end up working with an incompetent manager. Also, be prepared to navigate through asinine corporate politics. Product: It strives to be like the iPhone but at times blow up like the Galaxy Note. Extensive servicing is a bandaid to coverup the failings of product, engineering, and implementations. Professional Services: All the failings of product, engineering, and implementations ultimately trickle down to Professional Services to handle. Leadership means well and tries to help, but it's hard to bring value to clients when the tools you use are on fire constantly or explode in your face.
