The treat people like cogs in a factory floor

The non management people were friendly and helpful. I made many friends during my career with McCain.

Cons

Profit and cutbacks all the time in IT. My job left for India. I was escorted out like a criminal when I was told my position was gone. It was one of the worst days of my life.

The culture changed drastically while I was there, what used to be collaborative, entrepreneurial became hierarchical and toxic. Senior leadership does not care at all for employees well-being or work-life balance. They preach family values, but don't practice them. It is very cut throat and most employees are just trying to survive. It is very fast paced and yet employees and some leaders are not empowered to make decisions. Some members of the senior leadership team are full-on bullies who get away with very bad behavior. Others are building their empires wanting employees to worship at their feet. Stark contrast to the company values and leadership principles.

Great product and terrific manufacturing capabilities. People that work in the plants have a real passion for delivering the best quality.

Cons

Incredible amount of egos. You must watch your back at all times. People will cut you down and are sometimes forced to due to the number of layers across the organization.
