There are people that are not good to work with, and people that are. There are perhaps more good-to-worth-with people here than at other large firms. Salary is market although benefits tend to be lean (i.e., no 401k matching).

Cons

Work-life balance is the same or worse than at other large law firms. It is a service industry, even those in senior positions need to make large lifestyle sacrifices. "Free market" system is more narrative than truth.

Pros

You can really tell that they care about their employees. When a huge snow storm comes in with over a foot of snow, all management and attorneys have the option to work from home BUT THEY STILL MAKE YOU COME IN. There wont be anything to do during the day since everyone is out of the office and the person who makes the decision to close the office works from home too so clearly its difficult for them to come in but if youre low enough on the pole they dont care about you. They really would rather risk travelling in this weather to sit at your desk with no one to support . They really really care

Cons

Usually i understand when the office stays open on incelement weather but when its obviously dangerous and getting worse they dont care about the lower staff.
