      Salary, bonus structure is great.

      Cons

      My last day at this company will be one of the happiest days of my life. 1. They really overwork you and see you struggle but will rather lose great employees than have to increase headcount. 2. People of color constantly leave and it’s because there is no sense of belonging nor promoting from within. Just look at their executive leadership. You can google this. There is no people of color and yet diversity is “key” for them. 3. HR does not care for the well-being and health stability of their employees. This might be different in other departments but not in HR. Several people have departed the department in the last couple of years. 4. Only way you are promoted is about who you know

      Terrible Place to Work

      Very interesting data, little else

      Cons

      Strongly encourage anyone with integrity, talent and ambition NOT to work at Mastercard, especially if you are in mid/career and/or work in technology. The company is a marketing company that has taken on the veneer of tech company and struggles to keep pace with the state-of-the-state in AI/ML/Data Science. The data can be fascinating, but Advisors is little more than a back office and reporting shop and its choke hold on analytics functions prevents other teams from building competencies in Data Science.

      Exhausting politics and favoritism

      Pros

      Good opportunity to work with some smart and capable people around the world. Decent work life balance.

      Cons

      The increasing favoritism in some teams has led to an extremely toxic work environment to the extent that colleagues not in the "favored few" live in a constant state of fear and dread. Ageism is also blatant for everyone below EVP , so don't plan to retire from here unless you make it to the top. Be prepared to manage up to get promoted - especially in IMC
