Pros

Excellent choice of projects Good people at artist and production coordinator levels Excellent pay depending on your level (but it's also a trap because of how desperate they are)

Cons

Upper management is clueless and is beholden to London Will always look to cut corners, it could be software licenses, support personnel, equipment and hardware No real long term strategy no matter what they try to sell to you. It's always jumping from one emergency project to the next without considering investing in real efficiencies such as retention, training, software and pipeline development You will probably do lots of overtime, unpaid overtime if you are a lead or supervisor Production drives the schedule and the bid days, more so than any other studio, leading to every project stretched way too thin The other side effect of the aggressive schedules means that it encourages a culture of bullying and bad behaviour amongst the producers

EVERYONE is miserable

Pros

Everyone cries in the same boat together. We soak up our misery with "popcorn Wednesday" and "beer o'clock" on Fridays.

Cons

Overworked would be an understatement. Members of staff would have panic-attacks and breakdowns due to the amount of pressure they're put under. Once you're finally promoted they drop multiple jobs on you which means you're doing overtime without pay without a choice. Promotion never means a pay rise either and the pay is awful enough. Promised promotions are frequently snatched away. No praise for entry level roles, they're often looked down upon. Don't do an apprenticeship there. They won't give you a chance to complete it and it's just an excuse for them to get more money from the government. No management actually cares about your progression.

Messy

Business Outlook

Pros

Lots of training if you are new into the industry They are always understaffed, meaning you will get senior shots as a junior, and deliver them with junior quality

Cons

Production is a mess, no connection with the floor. Tons of lost time and forced overtime by purely disorganization You will get fired without noticed, so if you're working here, look for a job, always have a job, and leave MPC
