      It is a great place to work.

      Cons

      No health insurance, which means I have to pay over 300 bucks for my own health insurance. It is really hard to live in Cambridge with that amount of salary..

      Pros

      MIT has great research and wonderful facilities. The benefits they offer are good as well. There are a lot of people who want you to succeed and will help you pursue your goals id you start out with them in mind. Flexible work hours as long as you have a strong work ethic.

      Cons

      Very heavy work culture and some members of the community still have a very hierarchical mindset. Women still get talked down to, but much less than in other research institutes I have worked in. Definitely prioritize your goals and your time, otherwise, you will be trampled.
