very de-centralized, no formal onboarding staff, figure-it-out-yourself mentality makes things hard to do. Leadership is hard to please at times and things require a lot of approval and review

Competitive salary, great peers, good opportunities to learn, neat access to learn about the research

Cons

Leadership does not care about staff. They do not care about staff. They will grind their best employees into nothing, rather than take steps to retain good staff and make their lives easier. Middle-management often has their hands tied to help their teams, leadership does not listen to the middle management and does not balance the requests and needs of staff
