Pros

- A lot of freedom when choosing research topic - Collaborative environment between research groups - Well funded research resources, facility, offices, equipment, etc

Cons

- Not very rigorous on the technical side (at the Media Lab) - Lab is mainly funded by corporate sponsors, and a lot of work/time goes into demoing/pitching projects to visitors
