Pros

Subsidy on office cafeteria food. Cab facility.

Cons

Unqualified leaders, surviving in industry only by boot-licking. Worst, incapable, unfit for the position, substandard, damaging General Managers. Talented engineers and managers are leaving the organisation. General Manages and Engineering Managers are the hooligans; they don't even hesitate to use foul abusive insulting language to their employees. Very tactically managers fire the employees who stand against their opinions and abusive languages. Managers scare their employees saying that they have power to fire anyone. GMs, EMs, Architects no one is interested in technology, they don't have any vision. As managers and architects lack technical acumen, they can't even understand standard technical work; don't even think of appreciation; only bootlickers and show-off people get appreciation and promotion. With such incapable people, quality of work is extremely poor. One has to be either incapable or boot-licker to survive and make progress in this company. Qualified engineers don't deserve such incapable, ineligible, incompetent managers. Managers also don't want to hire talented, skilled engineers as they are also aware of their own quality and ego issues. HR know everything about such toxic environment. Every other day they get complaints about managers from employees, but they have no power to take any action against managers. They are puppet to these hooligans.

Pros

only 90 Rs coupon for meal and Cab facility

Cons

Never ever join Maersk bangalore unit. Very terrible working environment. High level of politics in every team. Managers and architects are useless and only work they know is create PPTs and fool Denmark people. There is no outcome from this unit and just looting Denmark office on the name of transformation. Most terrible environment for employees to work in Bangalore office where HRs are also puppet of your managers and no matter how big issue is employees are always in fault. Only possible option is resign from here and get some peace rather than continuous torture. People coming from 1 particular company, are at higher level and giving priority to their past employees and bootlickers. There was not much work left to do because of poor management decisions. This is what happens when old technology people become your managers and architect of team which was supposed to transform entire processing framework to new technologies

Pros

A lot of benefits like health insurance, free gym, free physician, access to squash court and virtual golf etc. Good work/life balance with flexibility

Cons

This is the worst place to work if you are: a) a young professional b) a woman There is a lot of hierarchy, and a lot of seniors and managers put down the young professionals and won't listen to their input. Adding to this, being a female young professional is even worse. A lot of men are going to mansplain things to you, and they don't like if you ask questions they can't answer. Managers lack technical knowledge and skills. They pretend to have a clear view of which direction tech projects are going, but they actually don't. They hide this by talking over-excessively nonsense and wasting all developers' time on all this non-sense talking in hour-long meetings. Majority of the managers are Caucasian male in their 40s and 50s who've been at Maersk since their 20s. The only reason they still remain in the company is because they've either a) had success with a project and then kept all the knowledge to themselves so they are the only experts and/or b) they've been there for too long so they are too expensive to fire A lot of insecurity coming from managers all the way down to seniors and juniors. People take credit for each other's work. If anyone discovers anything, they prefer to keep it to themselves because that's how they can keep a job at Maersk - by being the only expert in a specific field/subject etc. HR is a joke. They only care about the company, and not the employees. No one is there to protect you and your rights as an employee. HR doesn't respond to your requests, and if they do, it's going to take ages. In disputes between managers and employees, HR sides with the managers. Even if a manager is inappropriate or threatens an employee, nothing will happen - the manager is protected while the employee who's had unpleasant experiences with a manager just has to live with it. If you want a promotion, you better hope you know the right people, and that HR likes you. Or else, you'll never achieve a promotion.
