      Security, salaries - compared to other firms in the shipping business, colleagues, young and dynamic environment, expatriate contracts available

      Cons

      no clear idea about the direction to be followed; lowering productivity due to implementation of very bad information systems; creation of useless managerial roles; complete inadequacy of human resources management; no incentive to value creation; no customer care; massive worldwide staff rotation without meaning or advantages for the organization; not effecctive training

      Danish when it's best.

      Pros

      The way they do businness is just awesome. No fuzz, no fancy LEAN management ideas, no six sigma and crap like that. It's the Danish way all the way (this is your job, you need this finished by this and that date.. How you get it done is your own problem, but just do it right.) There's a great team spirit, and people are proud of working here. The food is magnificent, the offices are big and well-lit, no flexible office, good furniture, free fruit, lunch and breakfast.

      Cons

      It's hard to destinguish between top-level managers and normal employees, since we all wear shirts and ties :)

      Maersk Line:Fair pay, Foul Play

      Pros

      Maersk Line is fair in salaries and benefits. The 401K matching to 5% is excellent and the company bases raises upon performance. Performance reviews are fair.

      Cons

      Don't expect to get ahead in Maersk Line. The company likes to promote favorites, regardless of qualifications. They use a convoluted "personality assessment" which follows you throughout your career and if your scores on this do not match what they are looking for in a particular job, any other factors are irrelevant.
