      Big company, lots of politics

      Pros

      The company is huge and has strong financials, so there are lots of money for investments. If you like to work at a really big, global scale, Maersk is among the most attractive in the world. They are often in top 1-2 in each of their businesses with a very competitive mindset and some very skilled people running it. You will definitely be challenged at Maersk.

      Cons

      There is a big separation about expectations at executive level and middle-management level. Big lay offs have led to small "kingdoms" as people protect their turf. Lots and lots of politics, as the company only hires very clever and competitive people, who don't want to take responsibility. At group level, there is quite weak governance.

      good benefits package decent worklife balance

      Cons

      constantly downsizing too many systems that do not communicate with each other pay is well below the industry average silos, hard to communicate internally supervisors and management often side with the customers and not the colleagues doing the work

      Pros

      Interesting work assignments. Independence in work. Exiting company and exiting future business plan. Great colleagues. Maersk is a great name that may bring me closer to the next dream job.

      Cons

      Maersk is not willing to pay people what they are worth, which means that employee turnover is way too high. This makes it frustrating to work there because you constantly have to deal with people who don't understand the business.
