I had a manager that only seemed interested in her own career goals and spent no time with me or mentor me. I didn't have access to salaries but I did go in at a lower salary hoping to eventually make more money. I finally left and I'm making $20,000 more a year at my new company doing the same work. I wasn't given any opportunities to grow. I know that a lot of people did advance but I had already invested years and I was bored, broke and discouraged.

Extremely dull, repetitive work. Hours were the worst, 8am-5pm with an expectation to stay after if need be. Unfair work/life balance, get off late and come in early. Underpaid compared to industry standard. Dozens of tall dark cubicles made it feel very lonely and depressing.
