Pros

On the Driveway side, the only pro is the benefits.

Cons

There are technically two companies, Lithia and Driveway. Lithia itself is decent with very good benefits and what seems to be a good culture. I would recommend working with Lithia at one of their dealerships. Driveway, specifically its Plano, TX center, is nothing but a toxic dumpster fire. The pay is the only decent thing about working for Driveway, $22 an hour but no bonus pay, they took that away. Upper management does not care for or appreciate the employees and only sees them as a number, but they definitely do show favoritism. They know that there is no morale and that the work environment is toxic but they turn a blind eye to it. As soon as you are out of the two-week training period, you are automatically set up to fail. You won't receive incoming sales calls and the leads that are given to you are from the bottom-of-the-barrel section but you are still expected to make 20 sales a month. Even though you aren't given the tools to succeed, you can absolutely expect to be written up and even terminated for low performance. There are far more issues that would end up turning this review into a novel. Please save yourself the anguish and don't even give Driveway a chance because they certainly won't give you one.

Pros

Depending on the team you join the employees can be a lot of fun.

Cons

They are very focused and ensuring the DeBoers and their family members are given any job they have, even if they have zero experience or education. It’s very hard to move up and the pay below average. My manager turn down some viable candidates for her team because they were “too old” or “too young.” Employees are treated as another number with no regard for how hard they work. Depending on the department they will expect you to not work more than 40 hours a week but require you get 10 hours of work completed each day. A lot of employees are let go without warning for “underperforming.” Empty promises are regularly made.

Pros

Free Pear a Fair tickets.

Cons

No work-life balance. If your last name isn’t DeBoer then don’t expect to get the position you want. They surpass the hiring process for their family members. The only way to get a raise is threaten to quit. Management is inexperienced and plays favorites. I know a lot of the stores sell drugs and get their employees addicted as well. From the outside it looks successful but the inside is a different version of the movie “Wolf on Wallstreet.”
