Pros

AAA membership and coworkers. LUK gives a garage pass if you work in Worcester.

Cons

LUK does not pay for mileage within a city to see client and most of its services are home based (so if all your clients are in Worcester you will not be paid mileage). Exempt employees are expected to work far beyond 40 hours a week; non-exempt employees are asked to work off the clock. Fridays are awful with unexpected demands and no staff. There is no opportunity for advancement because management is entrenched with nepotism. Health benefits suck if you want to insure your whole family. You will be advocating for your family like you do your clients. The culture and values are not consistent within the workforce. LUK does not support the diverse families who work in the community. For the salary and benefits, I'd suggest someone work at Cumbies before working at LUK.

Pros

Good health and dental insurance (blue cross)

Cons

Constant change from higher ups and management with not regards to how it effects the employees it impacts, not paid nearly what is needed to do in home therapy and get maintenance done on your car from the amount of driving forced on you. Absolutely no care for employees’ privacy. You will be severely over worked to the point of mental breakdowns whether you’re struggling with mental health or not. The company only cares about the money you bring in and will threaten to fire you over and over again based on your productivity not being high enough despite working over the 40 hours to try to get all the work needed done. Also you don’t have a desk or spot to work- enjoy working in a community space fighting for table space, let alone a space to plug your stuff into!

Pros

full of workers who are passionate about what they do. Flexible PTO and good for young people looking to launch their careers

Cons

Upper level management creates a toxic environment, with someone members engaging in bullying and unprofessional behavior to the point of sabotaging future employment prospects for workers in order to retain them and YELLING/storming out of meetings. Given how small the organization is, HR won't address these issues and goes so far as not even documenting some of them.
