Pros

- Flexible working hours - You are trusted as the expert in your field - Managers trust you to do your job and manage your own time - No micromanagement - Mutual respect between colleagues - A welcoming, fun atmosphere - The opportunities to learn and progress are offered to you on a silver platter - all you need to do is take advantage of them - Lots of promotion from within - Many members of staff have been here in excess of 10 years - Managers are all experienced and do a great job of coaching newer/younger members of staff - We receive an additional day's holiday for every year we work for the company - Receive 10 'bonus holiday days' every five years as a thanks for our commitment to the company - Everyone is friendly ...everyone! - A great place for young people to learn - Opportunities to further educate yourself (diplomas etc.) - Frequent awards and re-numeration for well-performing employees (every quarter at least) - Fantastic annual awards ceremony/Christmas party - no expenses spared - Inter-department social events are frequent - Fair salary

Cons

- You'll be thrown in at the deep end...this isn't always a bad thing, depending on how best you learn, but can be a little daunting. Managers and colleagues are always there to help, though - Many departments seem 'short staffed', so workload can often mount and become stressful - Sales and lettings staff work long hours and frequently work weekends, although I'm sure this is no surprise to those already working in the industry - A lot of performance-related praise is offered to those working in branch (free holidays abroad, days and evenings out etc.) but not many people working in Central Services can achieve the same level of recognition which is a shame
