Pros

As a current employee I have seen the company go through tremendous growth and change for the better. Kumon North America values its employees, and consistently seeks the feedback of its employees to improve the employee experience. I have worked here for over 10 years in various positions and with each new opportunity I have grown to have a deeper appreciation for what the company aims to accomplish. If you are serious about making an impact in the lives of children and working in partnership with educators who have the same goal then this is the company for you. Great benefits! Contiuous training! Professional Development allowance each year!

Cons

The downsides of working for any company is up to each individual and their personal situation. In order to be effective, one has to be okay with travel. This is only a con if a high % of travel is an issue.

They give generous amounts of personal leave days but it is hard to find time to take it.

I’ve found my career here, not just a job.

Pros

Employees genuinely care about what they are working toward and are very willing to collaborate across departments, which makes for a great working environment. We’re given generous time off and opportunities for professional development (in addition to ongoing internal staff trainings.) So far my position has been equally rewarding for the side of me that is passionate about education as it is the side that wants to advance in my career.

Cons

Ideal for people who are looking for a well-rounded experience and are somewhat flexible about their job responsibilities. (Roles can evolve, which is actually a pro for many people, but )
