Pros

Benefits are fairly decent although they are slowing chipping away at that...they already have from years ago- less vacation time now offered to new employees

Cons

Long work hours- sometimes required to stay for 13-14 hours. Clinic closes at 730p yet management expects you to continue to see pts through 8:15p. Then there are countless other duties to try to incorporate into your very hectic day as well... Negative negative management. No positive feedback ever from management. Management is a dictator type management...bad managers that feel threatened by strong nurse practitioners. Recent taking away of 1 hr of a PCT in the morning is terrible for business in general. The NP is required to come into a clinic where she may have 6=8 pts already waiting to be seen and no pt care technician to help sign these pts in. Patients repeatedly leave due to frustration- great way to conduct a business. TLC conducts a culture of hiring only young, attractive nurse practitioners- they discriminate against older workers and there is definitely no room for advancement in this corporation unless you kiss up to the manager, who is insecure and threatened by many of her Np's in the region. I would not advise coming to this place. It is a revolving door. They do not appreciate experience and they do not care about retention.

Pros

They have relatively good pay and benefits but are slowly but surely chipping away at that. Patients are appreciative and make the grind almost worthwhile but not quite. The PCTs are very helpful when they can keep them.

Cons

The providers and Pct's are horribly micromanaged by the unseen big brother who runs the show. They seem to have too many non-clinicians in the highest positions of the company who have no clue about medicine. The management who is actually available to the clinicians have their hands tied and empathize but have no power to do what they know is right.

Pros

Fair pay with weekend diff. There is a satisfaction helping patients that are sick and many are grateful.

Cons

I have been in the work force for many years and have never been less appreciated than by Little Clinic Management. Constants emails berating providers as stupid and lazy.If you are considering the job because you desperately need money- I would suggest you keep interviewing elsewhere if you take the position.
