Pros

Remote work. That's it. No other reason to work here.

Cons

Korn Ferry needs a major adjustment to their moral compass. They lie to their employees and clients, and never reward their top performers with pay raises or promotions. They never increased salaries for cost of living adjustments during this absurd housing market. Their bonus structure is extremely vague and you're told it's "discretionary" which means they just see how much is leftover after their C-suite execs are paid as much as they want instead of paying you out for your exceptional efforts and what you truly earned. They lay off their top performers and best employees after lying to them about their "exciting new contract" they have waiting for them after their current contract ends. Their HR team is cold and heartless when delivering layoff messaging, which is sickening when you're absolutely blind-sighted as a top performer. They are over-involved with their RPO teams and add-on unnecessary meetings and additional stress for their team who has 60 hours of client work on their plate already. They don't understand how to manage RPO accounts and what their role actually is vs. the client.

Pros

You get exposure to different industries and get to work remotely. They hired me on at a low salary and, two years later two of my colleagues left for $30-40k yearly salary increases. In order to keep me they gave me a $20k raise so I stayed. Great right? Nope. It eventually was the reason I was laid off. This company cares nothing for its people.

Cons

Frequent layoffs, even though the company is financially stable. But they don’t lay off any of the toxic team leads/managers. They say they are “one Korn Ferry” but I didn’t find this to be true. They don’t value good employees who are productive. I was laid off a team where I was a senior member and a high producer. There was a person on our team who literally complained all the time and another who had just been on the account for a few months. I was on the account for a year, promoted a positive team environment but I was the one let go, most likely because I was paid too much. I also had a couple of toxic team leads that did nothing to get me the career development I desired.

Overworked and Underappreciated

Pros

Time off is great - whether that's PTO, sick leave, maternity leave, holidays, etc. You can get lucky if you have a supportive manager, otherwise, there aren't many other pros here.

Cons

Korn Ferry has laid off many employees during my time here and with that means more work for the staff they're keeping around. I have constantly been doing the work of 2-3 people, as the most underpaid individual on my account. People I have trained with less experience than me make more money than me........ which creates an awful team culture. You can only get promoted on the company's time line, not depending on how you work but when it's time for their annual promotions or if you put in a two week notice and they try to keep you by giving you what you have deserved all along. Company tries to promote "one Korn Ferry" mindset but when the time comes and you want to explore another area of business they make it impossible to transition smoothly to your new team. Turnover is ridiculously high because the culture here is all about the top dogs and the rest of us can eat dirt.
