Pros

It has a nice terrace in the summer.

Cons

The management team focus on micro management, they want to know every email that is sent and do not allow you to work autonomously. The idea is that Knight Frank intend to work more digitally focused. However this isn't the case the sole focus is just to sell properties, without any idea on technology or how to leverage it. There is no product roadmap with many of the projects and you kind of just have to guess what improvements are to be made. When suggestions are made on improving things, they are often dismissed whilst making you feel belittled or incapable to do your job. You will be sapped of confidence here, and you will feel like you are unskilled or unqualified in your work. There is also a huge lack of diversity within Knight frank. It is a very male heavy organisation. The focus is to work with the internal employees to come up with improvements, when this is what the product owner should be doing. They should have a clear idea on what areas should be improved, where you then go out and help to build those improvements. You have to be dressed smartly in the office and also at home, when at home this requirement is too far fetched. We don't liaise with customers in our role so the thinking here is very old fashioned and archaic.

Pros

Unfortunately I can't think of anything good about my time at this company.

Cons

There's a terrible work culture in the HR team at Knight Frank. It resembles more of a school clique system than a professional work place with 'catty' chat encouraged by Business Partners and Partners. Unless you're willing to play ball and conform, it's not an easy place to work and you won't be respected or appreciated as an employee. If you want to pitch new ideas, try something different or don't want to participate in snide 'banter', then you are made to feel very much like an outsider. Remuneration in the team isn't fair and bonuses are minimal considering the amount that 'fee-earners' are making. In reality, you can make a lot more elsewhere with a much better work culture.
