10 year employee - Overworked!

Pros

My children loved their teachers and the curriculum is great, when you get a teacher that follows it. I loved working with children and families.

Cons

Too much turnover in District "Leaders" who didn't lead. I am a person who loves to grow and always asks for help. I was frustrated when my DLs (yes, more than one) didn't know or care how to help. I worked 50 hours a week, always ate lunch at my desk working on the computer, and could still not keep up with the increasing work load. In AZ, we saw our buildings in need of repair and new furniture, but were denied. I always felt like the team in my building was a family and co-workers were always there for our kids and each other, but it stopped at our door. Upper management could care less about me a person.

Thank you for your feedback - your insight into how we're doing helps us shape what we need to work on and address. We strive to be a company of talented leaders who genuinely encourage and develop their teams; this doesn't sound like it meets the company's cultural standards we value highly. We have started up an initiative fostering ownership and responsibility for our leaders and helping them -- and their teams -- feel supported and encouraged to grow in their roles. We also encourage you to meet with your leaders and express your concerns about work volume or workload. Thank you for sharing your experience and opinions. - Derek, Talent Attraction Manager
